The 2023 Bar Examinations

Appreciation post para kay Justice Hernando and his #HernanDoIt2023 Bar Examinations team. Dahil marami na ulit tayong oras, sharing to you one of the reasons why this year's Bar Examinations, is very special, at least to me. 

Sa maniwala kayo't hindi, sobrang nilu-look forward ko bawat release ng Bar Bulletins. Pakiramdam ko kasi parang isa-isa tayong sinusulatan ni Justice Hernando himself. His words of encouragement and reassurance, sobrang laking bagay nun for our sometimes weary spirits. 

Pero isa sa mga bagay which really geeked me out, was how he smoothly incorporated the celebrated mythological deities (mostly from Philippine mythology) in the Bar Bulletins. And it actually made sense. Because Justice Hernando's pre-law was Literature. 🥺 Haaay, what a guy!

At di lang yun. He purposely mentioned 6 deities -- Fortuna, Bantugën, Tala, Tag-ani, Liwayway, and Bathala -- probably representing 6 Bar subjects for this year's examinations. What a guy ulit. Hahaha

1. "Do not leave your fate to #Fortuna, the goddess of chance. But should you do, always remember that chance favors the prepared one. The goal is in sight. I hope to see each one of you at the finish line." (BB No. 01, 08 Dec. 2022)

2. "May your journey with #Bantugën on his mystic bangka bring each one of you joyful tidings around this time next year." (BB No. 02, 15 Dec. 2022)

3. "Soldier on towards your dreams, along the path lit brightly by the deity #Tala. You will get there." (BB No. 03, 18 May 2023)

4. "Your hard labor will bear fruit and bounty, as shall be rewarded by Bathala's benevolent child, #Tagani." (BB No. 04, 20 July 2023)

5. "Believe that the dawn shall soon break this darkness, with #Liwayway at first light, and finally illuminate the reason why you drew blood, broke into cold sweat, and burst into random tears." (BB No. 07, 24 Aug. 2023)

6. "May the transcendent Supreme Being, #Bathala, illuminate your path towards the realization of your full potential. You are ready. You can do it." (BB No. 08, 08 Sept. 2023)

Maraming salamat po, Justice Hernando. May we be found worthy of this profession. See you po this December. Claiming, manifesting and praying.
